Well it is time for the next installment of the fun and exciting adventures of owning pets. Yes....there are two dogs. We were lucky (I call it force and tricked) into bringing a puppy into our home in July 10. Not only a puppy but a chihuahua and now I have two dogs and both from a species that I swore I would never own but I wouldn't trade them for anything. They make me laugh on a daily basis. Now to introduce Chloe or what we lovingly call her.....get ready for it.....he/she/it. If you haven't guess or heard by now she is a hermaphrodite. Now if you are not familiar with this condition it means she was blessed with both male and female sex organs.

We have decided to keep her as a girl but the vet did say watch for "behavior" changes that may occur as she grows. What that means I don't know but I will keep you posted if there are any changes.

So when I first got Chloe I had a nervous breakdown. Seriously I would never get a puppy again. Although they are super cute they have to pee all the time and I mean all the time. It wouldn't be so bad if I could just let her go into a backyard but no no I have to go up and down three flights of stairs around 7 times a day so she does not pee on my floor. Now I know I can use the exercise but come on. And lets not forget about the nipping and nipping and nipping. Now if anyone has ever had puppy nip you....IT HURTS....they have tiny sharp teeth and they love to mouth things just like a baby. Now Winston and Chloe have been best of friends from the beginning. They love to play but my goodness are they jealous of one another. If you give attention to one the other one will come and beg for some attention.
Well this is just the beginning but I am done for tonight. More to come.......

Update and an idea

Here I am again updating my sad blog :) I have been given a new idea and I hope I can follow through with it because I get many laughs from what I share about my dogs with my co-workers. My dear friend Becca gave me the idea to make posts about all the funny things my cute little chihuahuas but first I am going to update what has been going on in my life.

I am a proud new aunt of a beautiful baby boy. His name is Greysen. He was born on November 29. The biggest bummer about the whole thing is that we were down in Arizona for Thanksgiving and had to leave a day early due to the snow and my sister-in-law went into labor the next day. To say the least I was upset and disappointed. Since the big day, I look forward to the regular text messages and pictures that Burke and Claudia send of all the sweet moments they are having with their son. To say the least I am so excited to have a nephew.

Now on to my funny little dogs. First there is Winston or better known as Wini. We got him in September of 09. Burke and Claudia had rescued him off of the canal behind their house. We like to joke that he grew up on the "streets". Here is a before picture....every time Winston does something that makes me grumpy like bark at people who come into my home, I just look at this picture and remember "he grew up on the streets"
Here is an after picture...to say the least he looks tons better.

My favorite thing are the little groans he makes when you pet him or when he is trying to find the "perfect" spot on the couch or on his bed. He also likes to try to play catch with himself by taking a toy and throwing it up in the air and trying to catch it....this he has not been able to do yet. I never knew how much having dogs would be like having children. Not only do I have to feed them at a specific times, I take them to the doctor all the time, and they are the cutest when they are asleep, and my favorite....picking off the poop that is coming out of their butts that is connected to a hair that they have ate due to too much licking of the paws. Yes, I do this more often then I would like to think about. It is all worth it...especially now when he is lying next to me cuddling and wanting me to pet him. Wini does have a favorite and that would be Kerry. Don't try to touch her, get anything next to her, or go into her bedroom when he is on the bed or you will get a rude awaking of the 1% ferocious Wini. He is very protective of her. That is Wini in a nutshell. He is a crazy and a funny dog and we love him and I am sure there will be lots of update and funny stories on him.

Well I think I am done for tonight. I will let you all know about the other addition to our home.

Hello to the few people who read this blog. I know that I am not good with this but at least you get an update every once in a while. I was just reading my last post and it looks like I made it right after I went to Phoenix. Well again I just got back a week ago. I went with my parents and Kerry. Shana, Max and the girls were there two. So those of you who live in Phx. sorry we could not get together but my time was planned and packed. We had a great time as a family going miniture golfing, to the zoo, going to a baseball game and eating lots of yummy food. The short trip came at a perfect time. With April being Child Aubse Prevention Month, grant writing and personal trials, this I must say has been the hardest past couple of weeks that I have had in a very long time!!!!!!!!!!! What have I learned.....Heavenly Father loves and knows me and what I am going through, prayer works and if I ask for comfort He will give it to me, that I love the Temple and the peace it brings to my life, an knowing that my Savior has also experienced the trials I am dealing with and he knows how to help is a huge blessing. I haven 't been this tired both emotionally and physically for years, but I know I can handle anything with my Heavenly Father and Saviors care. How blessed am I to have the fullness of the gospel in my life....especially at times like this because if I didn't have this knowledge, this would be ten times harder.

On a brighter note....I have been called to teach Relief Society and have finished the 4 Gospels in the New Testiment. I am now working on Acts. I love learning about my Savior and his teachings while he was here on earth. I am reading the Great and The Terrible series and enjoying them. But most of all I am learning about my self and my strengths.

Thanks to all who have been there for me and who will continue to be there for me. You guys are awesome.

.

Well yet again I have waited for months to pass before I update this blog. Not much has been taking place. I have just had a birthday and realized that I can't stop time and I will always be getting older. That sucks but it is a fact of life. I recently just returned from a trip to Phoenix and had somewhat of a good time. If you consider being sick for the entire time fun. I am getting ready though for a short camping trip that will be awesome. Actually two...I am meeting my brother and sister in law in Jacobs Lake with the rest of the family to go camping and then also to Tony's grove. The trip to Jacobs Lake will also result in bringing home a dog hopefully. Burke and Claudia have a little dog named Winston that both Kerry and I love and they are going to be kind enough to let us have him. I am way excited.

I have finished the Book of Mormon and now working on the New Testament which I love.

I hope all is well with everyone....I am so glad summer is almost over.

Well I haven't done this in over a month. I am just sitting here watching one of the greatest movies ever.... Goonies and thinking I should update this wonderful blog. Not much has happened in the last month. Christmas has come and gone and life has got back to normal. During the Christmas holiday, Burke and Claudia came up. Burke for about 2 weeks and Claudia for about a week. We all had a good time spending a lot of time together as a family. We went to Body Worlds in Salt Lake, went and saw Marley and Me, we out to eat (a lot) and played Rock Band forever. We did have a blast on Rock Band. We found out that I should not take up a career in singing. Although I love to sing, it should be done in the privacy of my car (when I am by myself). Burke, Claudia, Kerry and I gave Rock Band to the girls for Christmas. It was great. We gave it to them and it was for a WII and they have an XBox. They were so disappointed when we said we were sorry for getting them the wrong one. They then were very excited to see that Grandma and Grandpa bought them a Wii for Christmas. It was the best surprise ever.

I was lucky to be able to take quite a bit of time off from work. I needed that time off. Work has gotten crazy with all of the classes starting up. To make things even better, the nursery at work has flooded and I have to move the parenting and stepfamily class to another location. Hopefully things will get fixed quickly.

Other then those things, life has been pretty normal. I am excited to say that I am almost done with the Book of Mormon and going to work on D&C. I am enjoying going to the temple as much as I can and working on Kerry to go for herself. Well that is about it. Not too much happening.

Hello everyone....The Thanksgiving holiday is over and it was great. I was able to spend time with my brother and his wife. On Thanksgiving we all went over to my sisters house and spent the day there eating, playing cards, guitar hero, and having a great time. The girls were such a huge help to their mother since this was her first time having Thanksgiving dinner at her house.

Friday...yes BLACK Friday, I was up at 4:00 am getting ready for shopping at ShopKo. Now the questions is did I buy one Christmas present? The answer is NO. Everything I purchase was for wonderful me! It is always a treat though to see all the crazies fighting over stuff. I have never understood that. We then went to Bath and Body to get the wonderful Wall Flowers for $5.00. The family then met at Angie's for breakfast to follow our yearly tradition of the kids shopping and then meeting the parents at Angie's. We then went for more shopping and I got grouchy. I finally had to tell the people who were in my car that the car was leaving and if they wanted to come they needed to leave NOW...I am done. I then went home and slept from 1 to 5. It was AWESOME.

Well that is a wrap up of what I did for the holiday. Oh, I did watch Get Smart (not that great) and Maid of Honor (typical romantic comedy). Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Well here we go. My first post. I did learn how to add some pictures and I picked my favorite with the girls and out "beauty night" when we were all in Jackson Hole. We had a ton of fun with the girls and watching Sydney and Page skate. That is a great trip I always look forward to each spring.

Thanksgiving is coming and I am looking forward to seeing my brother and his new wife Claudia. They will be bringing their 3 dogs which is always fun. I miss having animals around. Lucy (Burkes dog) is crazy but she is the sweetest dog. Claudia's two dog are gentle little things...just calm and go with the flow. As in years past we like so many other crazy people will be up at the crack of dawn and ready to shop on BLACK FRIDAY. Why I do this I will never know since I have yet to buy any Christmas gifts for anyone but myself :) It is a ton of fun watching everyone else though.

Well that is it for tonight. I will write more tomorrow.
